Main Library

CPR Training Kiosk
Learn how to perform hands-only CPR in fifteen minutes or less.
Lenski Sensory Collection
Sensory items for all library cardholders include noise-reducing headphones, fidgets, a weighted blanket, and more. (Use limited to Lenski Children's and Teen spaces.)

• The sensory items are for all ages, children and adults.
• The items may only be used in Lenski and the teen space, not anywhere else in or outside of the library.
• Patrons are required to show library staff their library card when they come to the Lenski desk to get the headphones, weighted blanket and Wiggle Wobble Seats.
• The items are allowed to be used for a maximum of 30 minutes.
• The items are to be returned to the Lenski desk or the holder on the wall from which patron obtained them.
• The library is not responsible for any harm that may come to patrons for misuse or faulty equipment.
Library of Things
This collection offers items for adult cardholders ranging from bicycles, board games, cones for driving test practice, CD players, ghost hunting kits, and more!
Pickleball Kits
Pickleball Kits are located in the Games collection at the Main Library.
Recording Booth
Book this free recording booth with your library card and photo ID. (Available to patrons 18+ and younger patrons with adult supervision.)

Park Branch

Maker Metro
Provides library cardholders free access to makerspace equipment, like button makers, a 3D printer, Glowforge, and more (by appointment only).

Volunteer Opportunities

The library cannot accept court-mandated or diversion program volunteers.

Age Requirements
• Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. (See opportunity descriptions for specific age requirements.)
• Applicants under 18 must have a parent or guardian's signature on all volunteer forms.
Background Check
• A criminal background check is required for all applicants age 18 and older.
Additional Requirements
• If you are a family member or friend of a CCPL employee, you will be assigned to a different library branch or department than the employee.

Our Habitat for Humanity affiliate was the first affiliate in Ohio in 1983. Since then, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Dayton has partnered with over 380 families to provide safe housing through an affordable Habitat mortgage and hundreds more through our critical repair program.

Our Mission: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. To learn more about our mission or how you can get involved visit us online at daytonhabitat.org.

Habitat for Humanity offers support to those in need of decent housing as well as opportunities for individuals to give back. Whether it is donating an item to the ReStore or volunteering on a build site, there are many ways the public can support the work being done in their local community!

Only through your efforts can we achieve our mission of targeting hunger to serve and educate through community partnerships. We need volunteers every day to help sort and pack food donations, distribute meals for hungry children, as well as assist with special events and administrative support. When you donate your time to Second Harvest Food Bank of Champaign, Clark, and Logan Counties (CCL), you become a partner in the fight against hunger in Southwest Ohio.

Minimum Age Requirement for all volunteer opportunities is 10 years old. If you are under the age of 15 then you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian during your service.
